Description: "Working alone, we have limited capabilities. However, when we come together as a collective, our potential for achievement becomes exponentially greater." Educators have a valuable opportunity to establish trust and rapport with parents through parent orientation sessions. With this in mind, on April 5th, 2024, we held our inaugural Parent Orientation for Class 1. At the commencement of the event, Brother Robert, our esteemed Principal, addressed the audience and discussed the fundamental expectations for each child, such as maintaining a neat appearance, respecting elders, communicating in English, and taking responsibility for their surroundings. Mrs. Ritu Kaushal, the respected Headmistress of the Junior School, enlightened parents about the New Education Policy 2020, Early Childhood Care and Education, and the Foundation Numeracy and Literacy course offered by CBSE. She also emphasized three key developmental goals aimed at ensuring the comprehensive growth of each child. The educators of Class 1 took the opportunity to inform parents about both scholastic and co-scholastic subjects. They provided valuable insights into the curriculum and explained how these subjects contribute to a well-rounded education. Furthermore, Mrs. Vandana Mehrotra, the Coordinator, discussed the role of assessments in evaluating students' progress, the assessment patterns employed by the school, and the format of report cards. In conclusion, Mrs. Ritu Kaushal wrapped up the session by expressing gratitude to all the parents for their attendance and participation. She encouraged parents to maintain open lines of communication with the school and emphasized the importance of working collaboratively to ensure each child's success. The Parent Orientation session served as an integral step in establishing a strong partnership between educators and parents for the benefit of the students.
