On
23rd August 2025, a fire drill was conducted, at the Middle School
Field, for the Science Club students from classes 8 to 10 .The main objective
of the exercise was to create awareness among the students about fire safety and
to equip them with practical knowledge to handle fire safety equipment, in
emergency situations.
The
students were told about the different types of fire extinguishers (Water,
Foam, CO₂, Dry Chemical Powder) and their specific uses. They were given an
opportunity to practice, under supervision, using the extinguishers. The students
participated enthusiastically and demonstrated a keen interest in learning the
procedure. The hands-on practice boosted their confidence in using a fire
extinguisher effectively. The drill was indeed very fruitful and reinforced the
importance of preparedness and emergency planning.
