The
Junior School Art Fair, held on the 10th and 11th of October 2025, was a joyful
celebration of creativity, imagination, and artistic exploration. Over two
vibrant days, the school campus transformed into a colourful hub of student
expression, where the theme “Imagination Taking Flight…!” came
alive through a range of interactive and visual experiences.
The
event was inaugurated by our revered Community Leader, Br. Agnelo Benjamin, in
the esteemed presence of Mrs A. Pal and Mrs R. Kaushal. A live keyboard
performance by Dev Kumar from Class 3E and an energetic drum presentation by
Brandon from Class 2B added to the festive ambience, setting the tone for the
delightful event ahead.
Students
from Classes 1 to 3 proudly presented an impressive range of artwork, many
pieces reflecting classroom learning in subjects such as Science and
Environmental Studies. Highlights included terrarium models and water cycle
illustrations that beautifully blended art with scientific understanding. The
Learning Centre and Special Education Team curated sensory games and
activities, while displays of library projects and EVS portfolios enriched the
academic connections of the fair.
Adding
to the holistic learning experience, a Physical and Oral Hygiene Awareness Camp
was also organised for the students. Conducted by a qualified pedodontist, it
included dental check-ups, an engaging session on oral care, and a fun quiz
with prizes. Hands-on activities offered something for everyone — from origami
and sand art to personalised nameplates, apron designing, and the popular
Pidilite craft station. The Civil Aviation Simulation Centre drew excitement as
students participated in aircraft simulations and also built and flew their own
paper planes. The Hindustan Times PACE Drawing Competition witnessed
enthusiastic participation, providing a platform for budding artists to shine.
In
the spirit of Diwali and the “Vocal for Local” movement,
students painted terracotta diyas and created pottery, celebrating traditional
Indian crafts. Magic and puppet shows brought laughter and joy, adding to the
festive energy across the school. Social awareness was also a key focus, with
NGO stalls from Raah Foundation, Muskaan, and Chetanalya encouraging empathy
and responsibility. An awareness campaign by the Chintan Foundation informed
attendees about the collection and recycling of e-waste.
The
student artwork was diverse and impressive — from vibrant unicorns and cat
puppets to mandalas, wind chimes, and eco-friendly crafts made from recycled
materials. Each piece reflected not only creativity but also a growing
awareness of sustainability and thoughtful design.
The
Art Fair 2025 was more than an exhibition — it was a heartwarming experience
that united students, teachers, and parents in a shared celebration of
imagination, learning, and community spirit.
