Description:

The Learning Centre students of the Junior Wing explored the theme of self-acceptance and individual strengths through their morning assembly on 1st September 2026. The presentation encouraged the children to recognise their own strengths, appreciate differences, and value the goodness in others.

The assembly opened with a prayer that created a calm and reflective beginning. The highlight of the programme was the skit, “Mirror, Mirror… Who am I?”, in which four children expressed their insecurities about their height, studies, shyness, and sporting abilities. Through the magical mirror, they discovered that their true strengths lay in qualities such as kindness, caring, listening, and creativity. The skit conveyed that every child is unique and that each one learns and grows in their own way and at their own pace. The theme was further emphasised through dance, song, and positive affirmations.

The assembly also drew upon the teachings and values of Blessed Edmund Rice, highlighting kindness, respect for differences, care for others, service, and the recognition of the goodness in every person.

Our respected Principal, Br. Robert, appreciated the students’ efforts and praised the effective way in which the message was delivered. He reminded them that everyone may have shortcomings and encouraged them to work on themselves while appreciating one another rather than making fun of others.

The Junior School Headmistress, Mrs. Kaushal, appreciated the presentation and asked the students to share, on returning to their classes, one quality they admired in a friend. This gave them a simple opportunity to put the message of appreciation into practice.

The assembly was a wonderful reminder that every child is unique, valuable, and capable of shining in their own special way.
