Thirteen
years. Long enough for a building to stop being a building and become a part of
a child’s geography. Long enough
for corridors to acquire
memories, classrooms to acquire names,
and a uniform to become something they wear without thinking. For some of them,
St. Columba’s began with a school bag almost bigger than they were, shoes that
never seemed to stay tied, handwriting that wandered across the page, and
ambitions that changed every other Tuesday. And then, without asking
permission, time began to move.
Experiences
of junior, middle and senior school days were shared. A small skit was presented
named The person we were.
The
assembly ended with a prayer followed by National Anthem.
