As
part of Mental Health Week, a special awareness session was conducted for the
students of Class XI by Mr. Sumit Yadav, Counsellor (Classes XI & XII), and
Ms. Jackqueen James, Psychology Teacher (Classes XI & XII).
The
session focused on the theme “Being You – Awareness, Self-Care & Identity”,
aiming to help students understand the importance of mental well-being,
self-awareness, and emotional balance during their adolescent years. Through
interactive discussions and relatable examples, students explored topics such
as self-image, identity, coping strategies, and self-care practices.
The
facilitators emphasized that mental health is an essential part of overall
well-being and encouraged students to recognize their emotions, seek help when
needed, and adopt small yet meaningful habits for better mental and emotional
health.
The
session was well received by the students, who engaged actively and reflected
on ways to take care of their mental health amidst academic and personal
pressures. It served as a gentle reminder that understanding oneself and
prioritizing mental well-being are key aspects of growing into confident and
balanced individuals.
