The
Kindergarten Section organised a vibrant and joyful Activity Day on 19th
February 2026, where learning, creativity, and fun blended seamlessly to
provide young learners with a meaningful and enriching experience. The day was
thoughtfully designed to promote overall development through joyful
participation and hands-on activities.
A
variety of engaging stalls such as Smart Sorter, Number Slide, Find the Match,
Fix Me Right, Fish the Correct Word, Focus Track, Number Pyramid, and Jar of
Mystery encouraged cognitive development by strengthening numeracy, literacy,
memory, and problem-solving skills through interactive play.
Language
development was nurtured through activities at the food stall, where students
matched words to earn treats like popcorn, sandwiches, and Frooti. Cultural
performances, recitations, and songs further enhanced vocabulary,
pronunciation, and confident self-expression, helping children communicate
their thoughts with clarity and joy.
The
day was filled with energy as students participated in lively dance
performances and movement-based activities that supported physical development
by improving coordination, balance, and rhythm. Fine motor skills were
strengthened through clay modelling, painting, and face painting at the
Fevicryl art stall, where children worked patiently and creatively.
Creative
development was beautifully reflected in the colourful performances and
artistic displays. Themes such as a sailing ship, autumn, reducing screen time,
the planets, and the cheerful “Monster Song” were brought to life through
expressive movements, imaginative costumes, and theatrical props. The art
activities further inspired children to explore colours, shapes, and forms with
enthusiasm.
Throughout
the day, students also developed important social and emotional skills by
working in groups, waiting for their turn, making choices, and supporting one
another. These experiences encouraged teamwork, independence, confidence, and
empathy in a warm and nurturing environment.
To
participate in the games, learners exchanged coupons, and winners received
exciting toys as rewards. Every child returned home with at least two prizes
and a strong sense of happiness and accomplishment, making the day truly
memorable.
The
occasion was honoured by the gracious presence of our respected Principal,
Brother Robert, our Community Leader, Brother Agnelo, Senior School Section
Head, Mr. Chopra, and Junior School Headmistress, Mrs. Kaushal. Their
encouragement and support added warmth and inspiration to the celebration.
