On 5th March
2026, the Counselling Department of Middle School conducted a Mental
Well-Being Session for teachers on the theme “From Crisis to Connection:
Rebuilding the Teacher–Student Relationship.” The session was conducted by Mrs.
Sangeeta, Miss Evangelene, and Mr. Immanuel.
The workshop
focused on the importance of teacher self-awareness, understanding students’
emotional needs, and strengthening the teacher–student connection. All of
this information was retrieved before the session by the means of anonymous
google forms, which became the starting point for the session. This led the
teachers to openly share their views and emotions. The facilitators highlighted
how teachers play a vital role in creating a supportive classroom environment
and in recognizing early signs of emotional distress among students.
The session also
emphasized the early identification of well-being concerns and provided practical
tips for handling emotionally challenging classroom situations with empathy
and effective communication.
An interactive
Q&A session was held where teachers shared their experiences and
clarified concerns related to student well-being. The session concluded with
the distribution of handouts outlining early identification signs of
emotional distress in students.
The session was
informative and meaningful, encouraging teachers to build stronger connections
with students and support their overall well-being.
