The
*Prahari Club of St. Columba’s School*, organized *E-WASTE SHOWDOWN 2026* on
*28 October 2026* in the School Library to promote awareness about responsible
e-waste management and encourage environmentally conscious practices among
students.
The
programme commenced with an awareness address highlighting the growing problem
of electronic waste, its potential environmental and health hazards, and the
importance of extending the life of electronic devices through repair and
reuse. Students were also sensitised to the significance of proper segregation,
designated collection, and responsible disposal through authorised e-waste
management channels.
The
highlight of the initiative was an engaging **E-Waste Showdown Quizzing
League**, which challenged participants to apply their knowledge of e-waste
management through a series of questions. The activity encouraged quick
thinking, active participation, and a deeper understanding of the importance of
reducing electronic waste and recovering valuable resources through responsible
recycling.
Through
this collaborative initiative, the PRAHARI Club reaffirmed their commitment to
environmental awareness and sustainable practices, encouraging every Columban
to make responsible choices for a cleaner and healthier future.
