The Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2025-26 was held on the 22nd of July in the Edmund Rice Hall. This solemn and meaningful occasion marked the official induction of the newly elected Student Council members from Classes 11 and 12, including the President, Vice President, and Secretary.
The ceremony began with the formal presentation of badges to the council members, accompanied by the rhythmic beat of the ceremonial drum — a symbolic tradition that honours the spirit of leadership and responsibility.
Brother Robert was the first to present badges to the newly appointed members, followed by Brother Agnelo, Mr. Chopra, Mrs. Garg, Mrs. Sharma Pal, and Mrs. Kaushal. Each of them acknowledged the potential and dedication of the students as they conferred upon them the symbols of their new roles.
In his address to the council, Mr. Chopra emphasized the importance of leading with humility, courage, and a sense of service. Mrs. Garg further outlined the code of conduct and expectations that come with each badge — encouraging the council members to be exemplary role models in both word and action.
The ceremony continued with the oath-taking, led by the President of the Student Council, as the members pledged to uphold the values and ethos of the institution with integrity and commitment. The President also delivered a heartfelt speech, motivating his peers to lead with purpose and unity.
The ceremony concluded with the gathering rising to sing the school anthem, reaffirming a shared pride in the Columban identity and a collective aspiration for excellence.
The Investiture Ceremony 2025–26 stood as a proud celebration of leadership, trust, and the enduring values that guide the St. Columba’s School community.
