Orientation Session for Grade 4 Employees by the Protection Officers
Ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of every student remains one of the foremost priorities of St. Columba’s School. With this objective in mind, an orientation session for Grade 4 employees was conducted on 27th February 2026 to strengthen awareness, responsibility, and professional conduct across the Junior, Middle, and Senior Wings.
The session was led by the four Protection Officers and attended by all Grade 4 employees through a well-structured PowerPoint presentation and interactive discussions. Key aspects such as workplace conduct, confidentiality, campus security, visitor management, washroom duties, and the importance of timely reporting of concerns were clearly explained. A detailed list of dos and don’ts was also shared to guide employees in maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
Special emphasis was laid on the role of helpers in the Junior School, highlighting the need to be gentle, patient, and supportive while assisting young children, especially during classroom activities and washroom visits. Employees were encouraged to reassure students, avoid any form of intimidation, and offer help whenever needed.
The orientation proved to be a meaningful initiative in reinforcing ethical conduct, accountability, and child protection measures. It reaffirmed the school’s commitment to nurturing a secure, caring, and trustworthy environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued.
