Description:

Day 1 – Mitti Se Rishta | 28th September

Panchatattva Week commenced with the theme “Mitti Se Rishta”, focusing on Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Students creatively reused old newspapers, magazines and used sheets to make envelopes, paper bags and gift packets. The Green Ambassadors collected the products and distributed them to local fruit and vegetable vendors, promoting responsible waste management.

Day 2 – Wear • Repair • Reuse | 29th September

The day focused on Slow Fashion and the importance of repairing and reusing everyday items. Students transformed discarded materials into planters, desk organisers, reusable bags and baskets. An interactive session with a tailor and cobbler highlighted the value of repairing clothes, shoes and bags. Class VIII also participated in a waste segregation awareness session.

Day 3 – Reduce • Reuse • Recycle • Upcycle | 30th September

During the Club Period, students explored sustainable practices through creative club-based activities. The Cookery Club demonstrated ways to reuse leftover rice, the Dramatics Club presented skits on sustainability, the Music Club spread awareness through songs, and the Eco Club engaged students in upcycling discarded materials.

Day 4 – Air & Climate Justice | 1st October

The theme “Air & Climate Justice – It is Everyone’s Right” focused on air pollution, climate change and individual responsibility. Classes 4–6 created a “Giant Tree of Clean Air” by writing personal Clean Air Promises on paper leaves. Classes 7–10 participated in a Climate Justice Court, exploring different perspectives and solutions to environmental challenges. Students also created Pledge Bricks with personal commitments, which were assembled into a “Wall of Climate Action.”

Conclusion

The four-day programme provided students with meaningful, hands-on experiences that fostered creativity, critical thinking and environmental responsibility. Through reuse, upcycling, awareness activities and personal pledges, students were encouraged to make sustainable choices and contribute towards a cleaner and healthier environment.
