Class
12-E conducted a thought-provoking morning assembly on the occasion of Earth
Day, presenting a perspective that moved beyond the conventional narrative of
environmental conservation. The students highlighted the urgent need to protect
Mother Earth by critically examining the role of large corporate entities in
deforestation and environmental exploitation for economic gain.
The
assembly also shed light on the environmental damage caused by ongoing wars
across the globe, emphasizing their long-term impact on ecological balance and
sustainability.
Additionally,
the students explored the adverse effects of rapid technological advancement,
drawing attention to how unchecked development is contributing to environmental
degradation.
To
strengthen their message, three real-life case studies were briefly discussed,
illustrating the tangible impact of human activities on climate change. The
presentation was not merely critical but also constructive, as students
proposed practical and innovative solutions aimed at making the planet more
sustainable and livable.
The
assembly concluded on a harmonious note with the class choir presenting a
melodious song titled “Wind of Change,” leaving the audience with a sense of
hope and responsibility towards preserving the Earth.
