The Middle
School of St. Columba’s School observed Mental Health Week from 6th to 11th
October 2025, aiming to spread awareness on emotional well-being among
students, teachers, and parents.
The week began
with a hybrid assembly on “Mind Matters”, highlighting the importance of mental
wellness through thoughts, reflections and a collective pledge. Mental Health
Awareness sessions for Classes 4–10 by school counselors encouraged students to recognize and manage
emotions effectively.
Creative
activities such as poster-making by
the Art Club and bookmark-making by the art club and literary Club provided
expressive outlets for students to share positive mental health messages.
Teachers
attended an enriching session by a psychologist Ms Nitika Khosla from Mental
Health Department, Fortis Hospital on “Empowered Educators, Compassionate
Classrooms”, focusing on creating emotionally safe learning spaces. Both teachers and parents also signed the
Mental Health Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to nurturing a
supportive school environment.
The week
concluded with a shared understanding that mental well-being truly matters,
reinforcing the Columban spirit of care and compassion.
