Description:
  • Our school celebrated the 2nd National Space Day on 23rd August 2025, a date chosen to mark India’s historic achievement of becoming the first country to land near the Moon’s south pole with Chandrayaan-3 in 2023. On this occasion, Saheb Kohli, 12-C, delivered an engaging talk on space, covering fascinating concepts such as time dilation, time travel to the future, and how observing the night sky is like looking back in time. The session also explained how the James Webb Space Telescope acts as a cosmic time machine, revealing the universe as it appeared billions of years ago, and celebrated India’s achievements in space through ISRO’s missions, including Chandrayaan-3, Mangalyaan, and upcoming projects such as NISAR and Gaganyaan. The event concluded with an interactive quiz that tested students’ knowledge of space science and ISRO’s milestones, leaving them inspired by the limitless possibilities of exploration.
