“Be
the change you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
On
a bright, sunny morning of 30th September 2026, Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated
in the Junior Wing as a meaningful tribute to the life, teachings, and timeless
values of Mahatma Gandhi. The programme commenced with a soulful prayer,
seeking God’s guidance to follow the path of truth, peace, kindness, and
non-violence.
The
celebration continued with an engaging conversation highlighting the
significance of Gandhi Jayanti. The choir presented the melodious ‘De Di Humein
Azaadi’ and ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’, creating an atmosphere of harmony and
peace. A captivating Talk Show brought Gandhiji’s childhood, struggles,
beliefs, and vision for India to life.
An
energetic dance performance celebrated the spirit of India, while the ‘Three
Wise Monkeys’ presentation connected Gandhiji’s timeless message with the
challenges of modern life. The Gandhian Values Rap presented the values of
truth, peace, kindness, and unity in a lively and contemporary manner.
The
programme concluded with the National Anthem. Our respected Principal, Br.
Robert, and Junior School Headmistress, Mrs. Kaushal, shared their views on
Gandhi Jayanti and encouraged the children to follow the path of truth and
non-violence and become responsible citizens who bring positive change to the
world.
