On 13th August 2026, Class 7D of St. Columba's School
presented an inspiring assembly on the history of the Indian Space Research
Organisation (ISRO), tracing India's remarkable journey from modest beginnings
to becoming a global leader in space exploration. Through engaging narration,
role plays, and informative presentations, students highlighted the vision,
perseverance, and scientific excellence that have shaped ISRO's legacy.
The assembly showcased significant milestones in
India's space programme, from the launch of the first satellite, Aryabhata, to
landmark missions such as Chandrayaan-3 and Mangalyaan. Students also paid
tribute to the pioneering scientists whose dedication transformed India's
aspirations into achievements, inspiring the audience with stories of
innovation, resilience, and teamwork.
The assembly concluded with a message encouraging
students to dream big, remain curious, and embrace the spirit of scientific
inquiry.
Addressing the students, our Community Leader, Brother
Agnelo Benjamin, urged them not to be discouraged by failure but to learn from
it, persevere with determination, and dream fearlessly—just as ISRO has done
throughout its remarkable journey.
His inspiring words served
as a fitting conclusion to a presentation that celebrated the power of
resilience, innovation, and unwavering belief.
