“Safe roads begin with responsible minds.”
On 11th and 12th February 2026, the students of Classes 1 to 3 at the Junior School participated in an engaging and informative Road Safety Workshop organised by BMW India Foundation in collaboration with TSL Foundation India. The initiative aimed to nurture early awareness about road safety and responsible behaviour among young learners through interactive and practical learning experiences.
The programme began with thoughtfully designed worksheets, discussions, and visual presentations that helped students understand safe and unsafe road practices, recognise traffic signs, and learn basic traffic rules. These sessions encouraged observation, enquiry, and thoughtful participation, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable.
A major highlight of the workshop was the traffic park simulation set up on the school premises. Using child-friendly battery-operated bikes and cars, students experienced real-life traffic situations. They practised stopping at signals, following lane rules, giving way to pedestrians, and respecting road signs, thereby strengthening discipline and decision-making skills in a fun environment.
Throughout the workshop, students learned the importance of patience, alertness, and responsibility while being on the road. The sessions also reinforced values such as cooperation, social responsibility, and respect for public spaces, helping children connect classroom learning with real-life situations.
At the conclusion of the programme, participants were awarded certificates and badges as a reminder of their commitment to road safety. The workshop proved to be a meaningful step in shaping young minds into responsible and safety-conscious citizens, leaving them better prepared to contribute towards safer roads in the future.
