Description: "The science of today is the technology of tomorrow." - Elbert Teller At St. Columba’s Junior School, it is our persistent endeavour to create experiences for our students to showcase their knowledge and creativity in a fun and engaging way. We strongly believe in the importance of engaging students in interactive and hands-on learning experiences. Math and Science activities provide a unique opportunity for students to apply their scientific and mathematical knowledge while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. As part of these efforts, a Science and Mathematics Exhibition was organized by Class 2 students on 22nd November 2023 in the Junior School Hall. There were a variety of interesting projects, experiments, Science, and Math activities that helped the children explore, discover, understand, and unravel various scientific phenomena. The exhibits and experiments were displayed beautifully, and the assigned area was decorated aptly. The program started with the inauguration ceremony by our respected Principal Brother Robert Fernandes. There was an introduction to the theme of the five elements - Air, Water, Earth, Fire, and Space followed by a beautiful dance performance conveying a message to live in harmony and not harm anyone. The students were well-trained and presented their projects with great confidence and understanding. They were enthusiastic not only to explain their projects but also to address queries posed by the judges and parents. Various models and experiments were displayed by each section of Class 2 uniquely, projecting the agenda - The Sustainable Development Goals. The event was graced by our respected Principal Brother Robert Fernandes, Mr Naresh Chopra, Mrs Ritu Kaushal, and esteemed judges - Mrs Meenakshi, Mrs Aarti Kailash and Ms Taniya Chaddha. They were all praises for the budding Math enthusiasts and scientists. The parents' enthusiastic participation and support made this event a great success.
